Job Description


Job Title: Sandblaster – Urgently Hiring
Pay: $19/Hr.
Hours: 1st Shift
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Sandblaster for a long-term temporary position with the potential to become temp-to-hire. This opportunity is with our client, a trusted manufacturing company located in Westbrook, ME. The Sandblaster will be responsible for preparing product surfaces using abrasive blasting materials to ensure optimal surface coating results. Success in this position means being detail-oriented, maintaining consistent quality standards, and working efficiently while standing for extended periods. This is a full-time, first shift position located in Westbrook, ME.


As a Sandblaster, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating sandblasting machinery to clean product surfaces before coating

  • Setting up equipment by lifting, carrying, and placing parts in cabinets or fixtures

  • Shoveling or pouring abrasive material into machines and maintaining supply levels

  • Performing basic equipment maintenance, including cleaning and changing nozzles

  • Boxing and unboxing product parts before and after the blasting process

  • Conducting in-process inspections to ensure product quality


The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent

  • No prior experience required; entry-level candidates welcome

  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions

  • Ability to hear instructions, see up close and at a distance, perceive color and depth
