Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Payable and Receivable Associate – Urgently Hiring
Pay: $20–$22 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (includes two breaks and a one-hour lunch)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an Accounts Payable and Receivable Associate for a full-time, temp-to-hire position with our client, a family-owned, fast-growing manufacturer located in Farmington, ME. This is a tight-knit, collaborative team environment where everyone—from the owners to the sub-brands—works together toward a common mission. The Accounts Payable and Receivable Associate will support operations related to their sister company. This is a year-round opportunity offering street parking and a dynamic open-concept workspace.

As an Accounts Payable and Receivable Associate, you will be responsible for:
  • Processing outgoing and internal payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Recording daily financial transactions by verifying, classifying, and posting accounts payable data
  • Reconciling the accounts payable ledger to ensure accurate billing and payment records
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies through vendor and statement reconciliation
  • Maintaining up-to-date reporting of accounts payable status
  • Accurately applying expense account coding
  • Supporting the monthly close and financial reporting processes
  • Performing additional accounting or finance-related projects as needed

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Excellent data entry and spreadsheet (Excel) skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, laid-back, and close-knit office setting
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to grow within the company
  • Reliable transportation to commute to the office.
  • The ability to pass a background check (no violent or sex offenses)
