Job Description

Job Title: Accounting Assistant — Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $25 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 1 PM (occasionally past 1 PM during vacations)
Start Date: ASAP 

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant for a permanent position with our client, a dedicated family-oriented company located in Brentwood, NH. The Accounting Assistant will manage key accounting tasks to support the finance team and ensure smooth financial operations. Success in this position means maintaining accurate accounts receivable and payable records, facilitating timely customer communications, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.

As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for:
  • Invoicing customers and following up with payment collections
  • Making collection calls and sending monthly statements
  • Entering banking deposits and assisting with credit applications
  • Entering vendor invoices as needed
  • Performing light filing and handling occasional phone calls related to accounting questions
  • Utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel proficiently
  • Operating within the ERP system “System Global Shop”

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Experience in accounting roles, particularly accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential financial information with integrity
  • Good communication skills for interacting with customers and vendors
  • Physical ability to perform light lifting
  • No theft-related convictions due to the financial responsibilities of this position
