Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist – Urgently Hiring!

Pay: $20-26+/hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility—must work at least four days a week until 5 PM and maintain a consistent schedule.
Start Date: ASAP (Start within a week!)

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a temp-to-hire position with our client, a well-established business located in Auburn, Maine This role is critical in managing corporate, individual, and club accounts as part of the member collections team. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Microsoft Office and has a strong background in Accounts Receivable. Success in this role means efficiently handling collections, balancing accounts, following up on outstanding debts, and ensuring smooth financial operations.

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will:
  • Manage and follow up on accounts receivable for personal, corporate, and club accounts.
  • Perform collections tasks, including customer service outreach regarding outstanding balances.
  • Balance accounts and track purchase limits for members.
  • Process and verify sales tax exemptions, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable (a plus, but not required).
  • Work independently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Strong Accounts Receivable experience, including corporate account management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (this is a must!).
  • Understanding of sales tax exemptions and qualifications.
  • High level of reliability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Professional demeanor with a willingness to learn and take direction.
