Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $50,000 - $60,000/year
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a Building Maintenance Technician for a full-time, direct-hire position for our client, a well-established educational institution located in Windham, Maine. The Building Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining building systems across multiple locations. Success in this role means ensuring the safety, efficiency, and functionality of all school facilities while maintaining compliance with safety codes and standards.
As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Traveling between school locations as needed to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Diagnosing and repairing building and system issues.
- Performing preventive maintenance and conducting equipment inspections.
- Recommending necessary parts and supplies for repairs.
- Enforcing safety codes and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Being on-call for building alarms when required.
- Assisting with custodial work, grounds maintenance, and event setups.
- Utilizing School Dude systems for maintenance and scheduling.
- Monitoring and operating Building Automation Systems.
- Communicating effectively via email, phone, text, and radio.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- A valid Maine Driver’s License.
- At least 5 years of building maintenance experience.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and woodworking.
- Knowledge of boiler safety, wastewater treatment, and project management.
