Job Title: Carpet Cleaning Technician – Urgently Hiring
Pay: $20/Hr to $25/Hr + potential overtime
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00pm, (Breaks: Two 15-minute breaks & a 30-minute lunch)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Carpet Cleaning Technician for a full-time opportunity with our client, a family-owned cleaning and mitigation company in Westbrook, Maine. This is a long-term role offering consistent hours, a supportive team culture, and room for growth. Cleaners work in both residential and commercial settings and are paired with a team lead each day. Transportation to job sites is provided via company vehicle.


As a Carpet Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing residential and commercial carpet and upholstery cleaning with attention to detail and care.

  • Measuring and documenting square footage accurately at each job site.

  • Completing all required paperwork and documentation clearly and thoroughly.

  • Maintaining organization, cleanliness, and proper stock levels in the company vehicle.

  • Clocking in and out accurately using QuickBooks Time, excluding break and lunch periods.

  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and compliance standards at all times.

  • Participating in the on-call rotation every six weeks and responding promptly to after-hours needs.

  • Traveling overnight occasionally, with advance notice, to job sites located up to 4–5 hours away.

  • Operating safely within confined spaces and while using ladders or step stools.

  • Working occasional nights or weekends based on business needs.

  • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support overall operations.


The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A high school diploma or GED (required).

  • At least one year of experience in carpet and upholstery cleaning (preferred).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using time-tracking tools such as QuickBooks Time.

  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.

  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and behavior.

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • IICRC Certification (preferred, but not required).

  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).

  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Capable of performing job functions safely and consistently in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards.

  • Able to maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
