Job Description


Job Title: Printer Technician – Urgently Hiring
Pay: $22.00 per hour to start (Temp-to-Hire)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking a Printer Technician for a full-time, temp-to-hire position for our client, a technology services provider located in Lewiston, Maine. The Printer Technician will provide technical support for printers, including diagnostics, repairs, and installations. The Printer Technician ensures equipment is operating efficiently and clients receive high-quality service. This is an office-based position with occasional travel and a long-term career path available for the right candidate.

As a Printer Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues on printers and multifunction equipment
  • Support new equipment setup, reconditioning, and general service needs
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure proper placement and setup of new equipment
  • Deliver prompt and courteous customer service to ensure satisfaction
  • Complete call logs, part usage reports, meter reads, and other administrative duties accurately and on time
  • Participate in a structured 4–6 month training period with an experienced technician
  • Travel to northern Maine approximately once every 5–6 months (overnight stay required)


The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must be 25 years or older to meet insurance requirements (post-training vehicle use)
  • Ability to pass a drug screen (marijuana is not a disqualifier)
  • Basic networking knowledge preferred
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and optical aptitude
  • Experience with printer/scanner repair or maintenance is preferred
  • Proficient in using computers and analyzing technical issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, and equipment transport
