Job Title: Counter Sales – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $18+/hr DOE!
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM (No weekends!)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Counter Sales Representative for a full-time, temp-to-hire position with our client, a growing wholesale distribution company located in Presque Isle, Maine. The Counter Sales Representative will primarily handle phone orders and support licensed technicians with product needs and inventory requests. The Counter Sales Representative will thrive in this role by being detail-oriented, personable, and organized, with a willingness to grow within a fast-paced and expanding company. This is a key front-line sales position with room for growth, located in Presque Isle, ME.

As a Counter Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Handle inbound phone orders and occasional walk-in customer traffic

  • Place, stage, and fulfill product orders accurately and on time

  • Send and track quotes, purchase orders, and internal transfers

  • Manage inventory levels and restocking processes

  • Build strong relationships with technician clients through excellent customer service

  • Learn product details to make informed sales and support decisions

  • Collaborate with team members and management as the company continues to grow

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience in sales, distribution, or counter service

  • Familiarity with HVAC or refrigeration products (preferred, but not required)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a team-oriented attitude

  • Ability to learn product lines and systems quickly

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
