Job Title: Water Damage Technician / Water Mitigation Technician – Urgently Hiring
Pay:Â $20/Hr. to $25/Hr., Commensurate with experience and certifications
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (Breaks: Two 15-minute breaks & a 30-minute lunch)
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Water Damage Technician / Water Mitigation Technician for a full-time opportunity with our client, a family-owned cleaning and mitigation company in Westbrook, Maine. This is a long-term role offering consistent hours, a supportive team culture, and room for growth. Technicians work in both residential and commercial settings and report to a Project Manager in the Water/Carpet Division.
As a Water Damage Technician / Water Mitigation Technician, you will be responsible for:

Performing residential and commercial water and sewage mitigation with professionalism and urgency.

Accurately sketching and measuring job sites to support documentation and planning.

Taking moisture readings and material samples as required for proper assessment.

Placing and monitoring drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers as needed.

Completing required paper documentation and obtaining all necessary customer signatures.

Entering notes, uploading photos, and submitting forms using Dash software.

Participating in the on-call rotation and responding to emergency services (some nights/weekends required).

Demonstrating the ability to safely demo affected areas and remove debris from work sites.

Ensuring all equipment is removed from the job site upon completion.

Maintaining compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Clocking in and out accurately using QuickBooks Time.

Performing other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the department’s success.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
-
A high school diploma or GED
-
At least 1 year of experience in water restoration (mitigation)Â or related work
-
Knowledge of air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters, and remediation procedures

Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
-
Excellent communication and customer service skills
-
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A clean and valid driver’s license

IICRC certification (preferred)

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and stand, walk, and lift frequently
-
Willingness to travel for occasional overnights (with advance notice)

Flexibility to work some nights and weekends as part of an emergency on-call rotation
