Job Title: Utility Line Technician – Direct Hire Opportunity!

Pay: Starting at $30/hr, depending on experience
Hours: 7:00 AM start at the Gray Office, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (Potential for overtime and on-call)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Utility Line Technician openings are located in Gray, Maine. The Utility Line Technician will be responsible for clearing vegetation around power lines to maintain safety and reliability. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fiber optic lines to ensure consistent, high-performance connectivity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fiber splicing, troubleshooting, and testing, combined with a strong dedication to safety and delivering quality workmanship.

As a Utility Line Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Ensure proper cable routing, securing, and labeling for organized installations.
  • Work with other team members and communicate effectively with clients and project managers.
  • Follow industry safety standards and best practices, including OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory necessary for fiber optic repairs.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • PREVIOUS LINEMAN EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Experience with fiber optic splicing, termination, and troubleshooting highly preferred
  • Experience in telecommunications, network installation, or related field highly preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no recent violations)
  • Ability to pass a state/federal background check, DOT physical, and drug screening (covered by the company)
