Job Description

Job Title: Front-of-House (Host/Takeout Runner) – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $17–$18/hour (based on experience)
Hours: Shifts vary 
Start Date: ASAP 

We are seeking Front-of-House Team Members (Hosts and Takeout Runners) for a seasonal-to-potentially-permanent role with our client, a vibrant and high-energy food service operation in Gray, Maine. The Front-of-House team will serve as the welcoming face of the business, ensuring smooth service, accurate takeout deliveries, and positive customer interactions. No previous experience is required—a great attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most. This is an ideal opportunity for entry-level candidates, including new Mainers and recent graduates, with potential for year-round employment.

As a Front-of-House Team Member, you will be responsible for:
  • Greeting and welcoming guests with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Managing takeout orders and ensuring timely delivery to customers
  • Delivering food outdoors, regardless of weather conditions
  • Communicating with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy
  • Keeping the front area clean, organized, and guest-ready
  • Wearing appropriate attire and adhering to safety standards
  • Participating in team training and cross-training opportunities

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A personable, outgoing nature with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
  • Reliability and willingness to work outdoors in all weather
  • No prior experience required—just a desire to learn and grow
  • Availability through Labor Day, with potential for long-term hire
  • Willingness to complete an on-site interview to assess team fit

Shift Options:
  • Opening: 9/10am–2pm (prep, lunch service)
  • Mid-day: 12pm–6/7pm (core service, food running)
  • Closing: 12pm–close (end-of-day support)

Dress Code:
  • Jeans (no holes), black or branded shirt
  • Non-slip, closed-toe shoes required
