Job Title: Installation Technician – Urgently Hiring!
 Pay: $22.00 – $30.00/hour (DOE)
 Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
 Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dependable Installation Technician for a full-time, temp-to-hire position with our client, a leading provider of advanced network infrastructure services, located in Poland, ME. The Installation Technician will support underground and aerial construction efforts, including fiber optic installation and repair. The right candidate will be mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors in all conditions, and motivated to grow in a trade-based environment. This is a field-based role starting daily at the client’s New Gloucester operations hub.

As an Installation Technician, you will:
  • Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic lines—both underground and aerial
  • Climb poles and operate bucket trucks to access work areas
  • Access work sites using ladders, manholes, crawlspaces, and trenches
  • Work safely outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Follow safety protocols and use standard tools of the trade
  • Travel out of town during the week as needed
  • Perform mandatory overtime when required
  • Adapt across different divisions, including splicing and construction


The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A high school diploma or GED (required)
  • Experience or strong aptitude in construction, electrical, plumbing, IT, or technical support fields
  • Mechanical and technical problem-solving ability
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – a plus
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work aloft up to 30 feet
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and a 7-year background check (no violent offenses)
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and self-motivation
