Job Title: Kitchen Staff – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $18–$23/hour (based on experience)
Hours: Flexibility to work various shifts
Start Date: ASAP 

We are seeking Kitchen Staff for a seasonal-to-potentially-permanent position with our client, a fast-paced and team-driven food service operation located in Gray, Maine. The Kitchen Staff will support day-to-day prep, cooking, dish washing, and cleanup operations. The Kitchen Staff thrive in a team setting, bring a positive attitude, and show a strong willingness to learn and contribute. This is a great opportunity for entry-level candidates, including new Mainers and recent graduates, with room to grow into a year-round position.

As a Kitchen Staff Member, you will be responsible for:
  • Assisting with food preparation and kitchen setup
  • Cooking or assembling meals during service hours
  • Operating dish station and maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Running food and assisting front-of-house staff as needed
  • Participating in end-of-day cleaning and next-day prep
  • Taking direction from the Kitchen Manager and Head Chef
  • Adhering to dress code and food safety protocols
  • Being open to cross-training to support all areas of the kitchen


The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A strong work ethic and team-first mindset
  • The ability to take direction and learn quickly
  • No prior kitchen experience required (training provided!)
  • The ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to work through Labor Day (with potential for long-term hire)
  • Willingness to participate in an on-site interview to ensure team fit


Shift Options:  Flexibility to work as needed
  • Opening: 9/10am–2pm (prep, lunch service)
  • Mid-day: 12pm–6/7pm (core cooking, dishes, food running)
  • Closing: 12pm–close (cleanup and next-day prep)


Dress Code:
  • Chef pants and non-slip shoes required
  • Kitchen provides aprons, hats, and gloves
  • Own or branded shirts acceptable
