Job Title: Facilities Engineer V.P. – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $65,000 - $85,000 (Based on Experience)
Hours: Full-Time

We are seeking a Facilities Engineer V.P. for a senior leadership position with our client, a food manufacturing company located in Bath, Maine. The Facilities Engineer V.P. will develop strategies, goals, and plans to optimize plant, office, and production line designs to maximize space utilization and improve production efficiency. The Facilities Engineer V.P. will play a key role in ensuring equipment functionality, food safety compliance, and operational efficiency. As a Facilities Engineer V.P., you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all facets of the production process are optimized for maximum efficiency.
- Overseeing food safety, food security, quality, and SQF compliance regarding equipment and facility function.
- Working closely with management and production staff to identify and resolve potential equipment failures.
- Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives to eliminate non-value-added steps without compromising quality.
- Designing equipment, installing control systems, testing, and upgrading processes.
- Collaborating with QA to ensure line designs support proper cleaning and sanitation.
- Managing outside contractors and working directly with equipment manufacturers.
- Developing and overseeing building and equipment preventive maintenance programs with the Facility Maintenance Supervisor.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Extensive experience in food manufacturing and facility engineering leadership.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food safety and processing regulations.
- Expertise in bakery/food service manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High proficiency in manufacturing-related systems.
- Certifications/Licenses: Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to oversee and inspect production and maintenance areas.
