Job Title: Lumber Sorter and Finisher – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour with opportunities for skill-based raises and monthly bonuses
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–5:00 PM (subject to adjustment)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Lumber Sorter and Finisher for a temp-to-hire position with our client, a company rooted in tradition and driven by innovation, located in Windham, ME. The Lumber Sorter and Finisher will play a vital role in ensuring smooth facility operations by operating machinery, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and performing repetitive physical tasks. Success in this role looks like consistent productivity, adherence to safety protocols, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

As a Lumber Sorter and Finisher, you will be responsible for:
  • Operating machinery to sort and finish lumber efficiently
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Performing repetitive physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and squatting
  • Following safety protocols to prevent workplace incidents
  • Collaborating with team members to meet production goals
  • Inspecting materials for quality assurance

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Mechanical aptitude and a strong awareness of safety practices
  • The ability to lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
  • A proactive mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Previous longevity in similar roles preferred
