Job Description


Job Title: Millwright – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $65,000+ per year
Hours: Full-time, approximately 50 hours per week (5:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Millwright for a direct hire position with our client, a well-established lumber manufacturer located in Searsmont, Maine. The Millwright will install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery, with an emphasis on lumber processing equipment. The Millwright plays a vital role in minimizing downtime, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and extending equipment lifespan through preventative maintenance and prompt repairs. This is a full-time opportunity with great benefits and room to grow, located in Searsmont, Maine.


As a Millwright, you will be responsible for:

  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery used in lumber processing

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime

  • Read and interpret technical schematics, manuals, and blueprints

  • Operate tools and machinery safely and correctly

  • Collaborate with other team members and departments as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Adapt to flexible scheduling and work overtime as needed


The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)

  • Prior experience working in a lumber mill or industrial environment

  • Demonstrated success installing and maintaining heavy equipment

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team

  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb, crouch, and perform manual labor
