Job Title: Material Handler – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $24–$28+/hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Full-time)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Material Handler for a quick hire, full-time position for our client, a leading manufacturer with a large multi-building campus, located in Biddeford, Maine. The Material Handler will support production facilities through material deliveries, shipping/receiving, interfacility transporting, and Hazmat movement. The Material Handler plays a crucial role in keeping operations running smoothly by ensuring materials are moved efficiently, safely, and accurately. This is a hands-on, dynamic role located in Biddeford, ME.

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for:

  • Loading and unloading trucks using a forklift or pallet jack

  • Verifying shipping labels, packing lists, and Certificates of Conformance (CoCs)

  • Delivering materials to the appropriate department or warehouse storage locations

  • Coordinating deliveries between departments and campus locations as needed

  • Maintaining clean and organized material storage areas

  • Assisting with cycle counts and inventory control projects

  • Engaging with other departments, vendors, and drivers in a positive and professional manner

  • Providing additional support to the shipping and receiving coordinators


The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A high school diploma or GED (required); a 2-year college degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Engineering is preferred

  • At least 1 year of forklift experience (required); 5+ years preferred

  • Hazmat Transportation Certification or willingness to obtain

  • A clean driving record and ability to drive a company box truck

  • Understanding of supply chain concepts such as purchase orders and shop floor travelers

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multitask and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic carpentry skills and data entry experience (preferred)

  • CDL eligibility or interest is a plus

  • Physical ability to lift items and containers and work on your feet throughout the day
