We are seeking a Paint Technician in Brunswick, ME for a full-time position with our client, a fast-paced and dynamic company delivering high-quality sign and visual décor projects to major retailers and grocery clients nationwide. The Paint Technician will be responsible for preparing and applying coatings to various materials used in sign manufacturing. Success in this role means ensuring paint quality meets company standards, maintaining equipment, and efficiently coordinating the daily painting schedule.
As a Paint Technician, you will:

Perform preparation and painting tasks using two-part urethane paints, waterborne paints, and stains.

Coordinate daily paint line start-up and shutdown procedures.

Work with the Supervisor to schedule production requirements.

Perform preventive maintenance on paint booths and guns to ensure proper function.

Adjust controls and monitor paint booth operations for quality assurance.

Troubleshoot and resolve paint quality defects, implementing corrective actions.

Maintain accurate inventory of paint supplies, masking materials, and gun parts.

Blend and mix paint to achieve the correct color and consistency.

Use various color management books to check colors.

Store, handle, and dispose of chemicals according to company procedures.

Keep paint booths, workstations, and controls clean and maintained.

Complete necessary paperwork and production data accurately.

Report quality issues, supply needs, and equipment breakdowns to the Supervisor.

Adhere to company policies and confidentiality requirements.

1-2 years of painting experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively in person and via email.

High school diploma or GED required.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to sit, talk, see, hear, and occasionally walk.

Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.

Frequent use of hands and fingers for keying.

Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
