Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift
 Pay: Competitive – Based on Experience
 Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – Midnight
 Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for a temp-to-hire position for our client located in Windham, ME. The Maintenance Technician will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all mechanical equipment and material handling systems. The Maintenance Technician contributes to smooth production flow and a safe workplace by staying proactive with maintenance tasks and collaborating closely with other team members. 

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical systems, including belts, chains, and motors
  • Grease and service machinery daily to ensure optimal performance
  • Inspect and maintain material handling systems for smooth and safe operation
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and maintain operational efficiency
  • Participate in monthly Safety Committee meetings to promote and uphold safety culture

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in maintenance, millwright work, or industrial equipment repair
  • Mechanical knowledge and materials handling experience
  • Sawmill experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work during 10-hour shifts
  • Safety footwear (all other PPE provided)
  • Background check clearance (no recent criminal activity or felonies within the past 6 years)
