Job Title: Production Planner 
Pay: $55K to $65K/Year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Production Planner for a full-time position for our client, a leading manufacturing company located in Biddeford. The Production Planner will be responsible for supporting production planning, scheduling processes, material inventory management, ERP system administration, and work order generation to meet and exceed customer and client expectations. This is a high-impact role located in Biddeford.


As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing demand forecasts and analyzing production capacity utilization.

  • Identifying constraints and recommending corrective actions to improve performance.

  • Developing and tracking production schedules and internal production group performance.

  • Generating and providing reports on production output and schedule compliance.

  • Coordinating with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure timely delivery of customer orders.

  • Maintaining the production route database, including processing and queue times.

  • Managing raw material inventory, including establishing inventory levels, auditing, and coordinating inventory release to production.

  • Expediting the placement of purchase orders and coordinating the movement of critical materials.

  • Generating work orders in the system and issuing hard copies to the production team.

  • Defining and utilizing metrics to support continuous improvements in planning processes and overall business results.

  • Supporting continuous improvement efforts in line with Lean manufacturing principles to reduce costs, lead times, and improve on-time delivery.

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, practices, standards, and Environmental Health and Safety regulations.


The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • 4-Year College Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

  • 1+ year of material planning or supply chain experience.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chain systems, shop floor control, and proficiency in ERP systems.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (preferred).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines effectively.
