Job Description


Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Direct-Hire

Pay: Starting at $26/hour, plus Mileage Reimbursement

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Plus some On-call availability)

We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support a growing property management team in New Bedford, MA. This role is ideal for a reliable, adaptable professional with a broad maintenance skill set who thrives in a hands-on environment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for general property upkeep, tenant support, and vendor coordination, ensuring the properties are well-maintained and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
  • Complete routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs
  • Perform basic plumbing work (e.g., replacing toilets, caulking)
  • Handle carpentry and painting projects (hallways, common areas, etc.)
  • Light drywall repair, electrical outlets, light fixture replacements, etc
  • Provide general upkeep and support across multiple properties
  • Assist the property manager with daily maintenance requests
  • Professionally communicate with tenants, vendors, and team members
  • Identify and coordinate with vendors for complex repairs
  • Use and maintain personal hand tools
  • Unit turnovers/flips
What We’re Looking For
  • Broad maintenance experience (plumbing, carpentry, painting, general repairs)
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve on-site
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record
  • Personal hand tools required
  • Must pass standard background and license checks
