Job Description

The Technician Laborer job in Turner, Maine is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment, performing sewer maintenance, inspections, and pipeline rehabilitation tasks. This role requires working outdoors in extreme weather conditions and handling physical labor such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lbs.

You’ll have a solid understanding of basic or advanced math skills, following instructions, and using a variety of simple and complex tools. This is a full-time position with long shifts, requiring 55-60 hours per week.

Technician Laborer Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in physical labor, outdoor construction, landscaping, logging, oil truck driving, or similar fields preferred
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for long durations
  • Ability to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test, D.O.T. physical, and a 36-month driver’s license check with no suspensions or major traffic violations
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, evenings, and out of town as needed
  • Good attitude and ability to work in a tight-knit, family-like team environment

Technician Laborer Details:
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, starting at 6:00 AM at the shop, safety meetings every Monday at 6:00 AM. 55-60 hours per week, with workdays ending around 5-6:00 PM
  • Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience
  • Start Date: ASAP
