Job Title: CDL A or B Driver – Urgently Hiring
Pay:

  • Class B: $24–$26/hr DOE

  • Class A: $26–$30/hr DOE

    Hours: 30–50 hours/week depending on deliveries and seasonality
    Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a CDL A or B Driver for a seasonal-to-full-time position for our client, a well-established distribution company located in Scarborough, Maine. The CDL Driver will transport raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or distribution centers, ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with all DOT and company safety policies. The CDL Driver will succeed by being reliable, adaptable, safety-minded, and customer-focused. This is a seasonal opportunity with the intention of becoming full-time, located in Scarborough, Maine.

As a CDL A or B Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Transporting raw materials safely and efficiently within a 200-mile radius

  • Inspecting vehicles before and after each trip to ensure safety and roadworthiness

  • Performing basic preventative maintenance

  • Planning routes and maintaining delivery schedules

  • Logging driving hours, mileage, fuel usage, and delivery updates using company systems

  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks using pallet jacks (team lifts for heavy items)

  • Complying with all federal, state, and company driving regulations

  • Reporting accidents, defects, or violations promptly

  • Communicating clearly with dispatch and delivery personnel

  • Adjusting to fluctuating schedules and start times, including occasional overnight and weekend shifts

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent

  • Proven experience as a commercial truck driver

  • Familiarity with applicable DOT rules and truck safety regulations

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • The ability to adapt to unexpected situations such as traffic or weather delays

  • A valid Class A or Class B CDL

  • A current medical card (or ability to get one)

  • A clean driving record with no recent violations

  • The physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs (team lift available), and use pallet jacks safely

  • A safety-first mindset and attention to detail
