Hours: Full-time, Monday – Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:00 pm
Start Date: ASAP
Bonney Staffing is seeking Foundry Workers for temp-to-hire positions with a leading foundry located in Lewiston, Maine. These roles are essential to the metal production process, assisting with casting, mold preparation, and foundry maintenance.
As a Foundry Worker, you will:
- Inspect parts based on visual criteria to ensure quality standards are met.
- Review and log scrap data using Access (training provided).
- Retrieve and return patterns from the warehouse as needed.
- Cut test bars on a bandsaw and prepare them for shipment to an outside lab.
- Log heat treat loads accurately in Excel.
- Take and record Brinell hardness readings in Excel (training provided).
- Communicate with customers’ shipping departments via email when parts are ready to ship.
- Contact trucking companies to coordinate transportation.
- Pack and prepare boxes for shipment.
The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Experience: Prior foundry, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
