Job Description


Job Title: Class B or Non-CDL Driver (Immediate Need)
Pay Range: $24-$26/hr (DOE)
Schedule: 30-50 hours per week with shifts available from 4 AM to noon or 8 AM to 6 PM, including some weekends.
Start Date: ASAP

Bonney Staffing has partnered with a respected Distributor located in Scarborough. We’re expanding our dedicated team and are in search of a Class B or Non-CDL Driver who is passionate about quality and committed to exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Class B or Non-CDL Driver, you will be an essential part of our operations, responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of raw materials between our manufacturing plants and distribution centers. Your essential duties include:
  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure all mechanical and safety requirements are met.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks to keep your vehicle in peak operational condition.
  • Route Planning: Develop efficient delivery routes to adhere to scheduled timelines while optimizing fuel and travel time.
  • Compliance Documentation: Accurately track your work/rest periods and miles driven to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • System Management: Enter detailed and timely information into our automated system concerning loading and unloading processes.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Follow all truck driving regulations, company policies, and safety protocols diligently.
  • Loading Assistance: Assist with loading and unloading cargo to ensure smooth operations and timeliness.
  • Communication: Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or policy violations immediately to maintain operational integrity.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
  • A valid Class B or non-CDL driving license.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screens (no THC), and maintain a valid driver’s medical card.
  • Previous experience as a truck driver is essential.
  • Capacity to drive for extended hours and navigate diverse travel conditions (traffic, weather, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of truck driving rules and regulations, ensuring a clean driving record with no recent moving violations.
  • Proficient with equipment such as pallet jacks, with the physical ability to lift weights ranging from 50 to 100 lbs.
