Job Title: Housekeeper
Pay: $18.50 per hour 
Hours: M-F, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Some weekends required for coverage)
Start Date: ASAP Temp-to-Hire

What You’ll Do:
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for:
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within the healthcare facility.
  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, operating rooms, and common areas.
  • Follow strict hygiene and infection control protocols to prevent the spread of disease.
  • Dispose of medical waste, general waste, and pharmaceutical waste according to safety regulations.
  • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and linens throughout the facility.
  • Utilize specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
  • Respond to immediate cleaning needs in high-traffic areas like the ER or OR.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to leadership immediately.

     
What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Personal Characteristics: High level of dependability, a strong willingness to learn, and a commitment to patient safety.
  • Experience: Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, walk, and kneel for the duration of the shift; must be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and 10–25 lbs frequently.

Location & Schedule:
This position is on-site in Rockport, ME. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with occasional weekend coverage as needed.
