Job Description


The Welder I position in Biddeford, Maine is an entry-level production welding role. The ideal candidate must have a mechanical background and be eager to learn welding techniques. This role involves operating various welding equipment, assembling roll sections, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with potential for overtime on weekends.
 

Welder Qualifications:
  • Mechanical background with experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to learn welding (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW)
  • Ability to read and understand drawings (preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematics (preferred)
  • Strong reasoning ability to solve practical problems
 
Welder Skills:
  • Proficiency in operating presses, welders, and spot welders
  • Ability to assemble and weld roll singles and sections
  • Experience with rigging, overhead crane operation, and lift truck usage
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 systems and LEAN 6S practices
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed
 
Welder Job Details:
  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM; OT possible Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • Pay Rate: $20/hr
