Pay: $18.50 per hour
Hours: 5am to 3pm, Monday – Thursday

As a Shakeout Operator, you'll play a key role in supporting the metal casting process. You'll work closely with your team to operate equipment, handle materials safely, and ensure quality standards are met. Your efforts will help keep production running smoothly and safely every day.

What You'll Do
As a Shakeout Operator, you will be responsible for:
  • Operating forklifts and other machinery to move molds, raw materials, and finished castings securely within the foundry.
  • Assisting with removing castings from sand molds after cooling, ensuring quality and safety.
  • Helping separate castings from sand during the shakeout process to prepare them for finishing.
  • Supporting transportation of materials and finished products to subsequent production stages.
  • Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safety-compliant at all times.
  • Following all safety protocols and production procedures to maintain a secure workplace environment.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Basic experience or the ability to quickly learn operating machinery in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required; training may be provided.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks throughout the shift, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • A keen safety awareness and attention to detail to uphold a safe work environment.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential traits.
