Job Title: Weekend Shift CNC Machine Operator

Pay: $24.08–$28.02/hour (including $1.00 shift differential)

Hours: Weekend Shift, Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (Incentivized to 40 hours)

Start Date: TBD (Background checks take 1.5–2 weeks)

Here, you will play a vital role in producing precision machined parts while ensuring adherence to our high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will:
  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, and material specifications to operate CNC machines effectively.
  • Program CNC machines by setting offsets, tool registers, and conditional switches.
  • Set up machines by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, attachments, and fixtures.
  • Load materials and verify first-run parts and sample workpieces for precision.
  • Maintain product quality through thorough measurement, troubleshooting, and necessary adjustments.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and strictly follow safety procedures at all times.
  • Accurately document production records, quality assessments, and maintenance activities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork on the shop floor.

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 3–5 years in a production or manufacturing environment; CNC experience is essential.
  • Skills: Strong mathematical abilities, proficiency with computer systems, familiarity with metric measurements, proficiency in blueprint reading, and experience with tooling and control/instrumentation.
  • Physical Abilities: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, bend, reach, and maintain stamina in a machine shop environment.
  • Certifications: CNC certification is preferred.
  • Nice-to-Have: Experience with SAP systems (training available).

Location & Schedule:

This role is on-site in Wells, ME, with shifts running from Friday to Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Initial training will take place Monday to Thursday on first shift for 2+ weeks.
