Powder Coat Operator — Urgently hiring Powder Coat Operator in Sanford!

Job Title: Powder Coat Operator
Pay: $20 per hour
Hours: 1st Shift (Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Start Date: ASAP

As a Powder Coat Operator, you'll play a crucial role in supporting daily production by preparing, coating, and inspecting metal parts to ensure a high-quality, durable finish. You'll work closely with your team to meet production deadlines and uphold top standards for quality and safety.

What You'll Do
As a Powder Coat Operator, you will be responsible for:
  • Loading and unloading parts and operating the powder coating system with precision and care.
  • Inspecting products before and after coating to verify quality standards are met.
  • Operating and maintaining equipment including the wash system and powder booth to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Utilizing basic hand and power tools, hand trucks, and pallet jacks to handle parts efficiently.
  • Performing routine shop maintenance such as sweeping, cleaning, greasing, and checking fluids.
  • Applying Lean and continuous improvement principles to reduce waste, rework, and scrap.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working around machinery and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail to catch imperfections early.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical ability to lift 10-20 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs periodically, and assist with team lifts of up to 100 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a warm environment and standing for long periods.
