Job Title: Human Resources Assistant and Payroll Specialist (#167655)

Human Resources Assistant and Payroll Specialist Pay Range: $20-22/hr

Human Resources Assistant and Payroll Specialist Schedule:  Full time/Part time, 1st shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, M – F

Human Resources Assistant and Payroll Specialist Start Date: ASAP

 

The Human Resources Assistant and Payroll Specialist position in Bangor, Maine is responsible for assisting with all HR level functions with a focus on payroll related duties. You will process bi-weekly payroll, reconciliations, and PTO tracking. You will create and analyze regular reports through the ADP Workforce Now portal. You will respond to inquiries in a timely and effective manner with employees, vendors, and various agencies You will process off-cycle paychecks, reversals, adjustments, and all mandatory and voluntary deductions. This is a full time, first shift position that could become permanent for the right candidate.

 

Human Resources Assistant and Payroll Specialist Qualifications: 

  • High School Graduate required, Degree preferred  

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing

  • Experience with ADP payroll preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff

  • Professional discretion and confidentiality

  • Proficient computer use and understanding of related software

  • Understanding of payroll taxes and withholding for various states
